Security at Pride
Safety is one of our top priorities for this year's Pride event. We have been working closely with the Colorado Springs Police Department, the Colorado Information Analysis Center (CIAC), and other local agencies to ensure a safe event.

Bag checks at Pride
We are keeping this an open event, which means there are not gates most people will walk through. This provides almost unlimited exits for attendees to use if a problem should arise and is a safer exit plan overall. With that in mind, there is no central entrance point and thus no place for us to set up a bag check. The security teams we have in place are on alert constantly for any signs of trouble in the crowd, and we are confident that the Colorado Springs Police Department, and other security personnel, will respond as quickly as possible in case of an emergency.
