Frequently Asked questions

QUICK LINKS

  • How much does entrance to Pride cost?
Both the festival and the parade are free for attendees.
  • Will there be bag checks at Pride?
We are keeping this an open event, which means there aren’t gates most people will walk through. This provides almost unlimited exits for attendees to use if a problem should arise and is a safer exit plan overall. With that in mind, there is no central entrance point and thus no place for us to set up a bag check. The security teams we have in place are on alert constantly for any signs of trouble in the crowd, and we are confident that the Colorado Springs Police Department, and other security personnel, will respond as quickly as possible in case of an emergency.
  • What will security be like at Pride?
Safety is one of our top priorities for our Pride event. We have worked closely with the Colorado Springs Police Department, the Colorado Information Analysis Center (CIAC), and other local agencies to ensure a safe event.
  • I have an organization I support and want to spread the word about, can I canvass?
Canvassing outside of paid vendor spots is not allowed.
  • I’d love to volunteer for Pride, where do I sign up?
We’re always looking for more volunteers. If you have four hours to donate, love a t-shirt, and enjoy unlimited bagels (IFYKYK), then go here to sign up to volunteer for Pride weekend!
  • Are dogs allowed at Pride?
Your four-legged family member is welcome at Pikes Peak Pride but must be on a leash at all times. Please remember to clean up after your animals when they use the bathroom and deposit their bag in the nearest trash receptacle.
  • I applied to have a booth and haven’t heard back yet, what should I do?
Please reach out to our Vendor team at vendor@pikespeakpride.org.
  • Will there be event merchandise for sale?
YES! We’ll have event t-shirts, bracelets, patches, fans, and more available for sale. The merchandise booth will be positioned on the southwest corner of the Pioneers’ Museum, right next to Get Your Gay On!
  • Where are the toilets?
There will be three banks of portajohns on site. Each will have at least ADA-compliant toilet included. Check the venue map here to find the toilets.
  • Where is the lost and found?
The lost and found will be located at the Info Tent, on the southwest corner of Alamo Square Park.
  • Can I pay cash/card at the bar?
No! Bartenders will only accept tickets purchased at the info booth.
  • Can I pay cash/card at the food trucks?
Yup! All food trucks and vendors in the Food Tent will accept their own forms of payment.
  • Is there water available?
Yes! Free bottled water will be available in the bar area thanks to King Soopers. Colorado Springs Utilities is providing a water trailer in the Food vendor area to fill up water containers for free.
  • How do I tip the bartenders?
All of our bartenders are working only for tips, and tips will be equitably distributed among them. You can always tip in cash in person, or we’ve set up a CashApp link to tip with a credit card.
