about Pikes peak pride
Our Story
Pikes Peak Pride honors the active and diverse achievements of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities of Colorado. This is an opportunity for all LGBTQIA+ Coloradans to celebrate our achievements and remind the world that we exist while raising awareness within the communities.
Southern Colorado has enjoyed a robust Pride tradition for 33 years, and this is the second year under the management of Pikes Peak Pride. According to an attendee, last year’s Pride celebration was “one of the best in memory.” Another said, “Y’all truly outdid yourselves.” A third claimed, “I will remember this one for many years to come!”
Pikes Peak Pride is a registered nonprofit corporation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Mission
Pikes Peak Pride is an organization that promotes the empowerment, unity, and diversity of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans-identified, and Queer (LGBTQ+) community, families, and allies in the Pikes Peak Region, with the goal of achieving full civil and social equality. To achieve this, Pikes Peak Pride advocates for LGBTQ+ interests, educates the public, and works to create a sense of community and acceptance primarily through our annual two-day festival and parade event that gathers thousands of visitors together from across Colorado state, and the country, to downtown Colorado Springs.
