We are creating a year-round movement of visibility, advocacy, and celebration for the LGBTQIA+ community across the Pikes Peak region. Youth Subcommittee Members will help plan and lead the Rainbow Youth Square planning for 2026. Youth will get the opportunity to gain hands-on leadership and business skills. Youth must be elementary to high school age. Those under 15 years old must have an adult with them at monthly planning meetings OR given permission to attend meetings alone with parents promptly picking up their child at the end of each meeting. Help us give YOU a voice and make the Rainbow Youth Square even more amazing!

Qualifications

Passion for creating safe and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth and families.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience with working in a team setting.
Ability to collaborate with others
Eager to gain leadership and business skills
Complete a RYS Application form before being asked to officially join the subcommittee

Time Commitment

Average of 3–6 hours per month leading up to the event.
Ability to attend a monthly subcommittee meeting once a month in person (preferred), but virtually if needed.
Increased hours in the 4–6 weeks prior to Pride Festival & Parade.
On-site presence required during festival and parade weekend. Minimum 1 volunteer shift.

Youth Square Director and the Parade & Festival Committee Chair

The Vendor Director plays a key role in shaping the experience of vendors at the annual Pikes Peak Pride Festival and Parade. This volunteer position oversees every step of vendor participation, ensuring an organized, welcoming, and inclusive environment that reflects the spirit and mission of Pikes Peak Pride. Using Eventeny, our event and vendor management platform, the Vendor Director manages applications, communication, and on-site logistics to help create a seamless festival weekend for our community.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee vendor applications, approvals, communications, and booth assignments through Eventeny.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all vendor questions and needs leading up to and throughout Pride weekend.
Coordinate vendor placement, load-in, setup, operations support, and teardown to ensure a smooth festival flow.
Partner with the Parade and Festival Committee to ensure all vendor activity aligns with event policies, permits, safety requirements, and site plans.
Maintain accurate vendor data and provide regular updates and reports to the Board and Parade & Festival Committee.
Support vendor-related fundraising initiatives and assist with integrating sponsor activations where applicable.
Collaborate with the Volunteer Committee to ensure on-site vendor support coverage during festival operations.

Qualifications

Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Comfortable with technology; experience with Eventeny or event/vendor management tools is helpful but not required (training provided).
Ability to troubleshoot, multitask, and remain calm under pressure during live events.
A strong commitment to the mission of Pikes Peak Pride and to fostering an inclusive, affirming community experience.

Time Commitment

Approximately 10 to 15 hours per month in the months leading up to Pride.
Increased availability during the 4 to 6 weeks immediately before the Festival and Parade.
Required in-person participation during the festival and parade weekend.

Parade & Festival Committee Chair and the Pikes Peak Pride Board of Directors

Adult Subcommittee Members will help plan and guide the Rainbow Youth Square planning for 2026. Adults will help to facilitate 1 or 2 Task Teams. You understand and know how to guide a group of youth, not take the lead, but help our youth lead the way. You are here for guidance, support, and accountability. Help us give our youth a voice and make the Rainbow Youth Square even more amazing
